Is Memoira really free?
Yes! During early access, all features are completely free, no credit card required. We'll let you know before any pricing changes.
Are there limits on how much I can record?
Voice is capped at 30 minutes per day and 15 minutes per session (resets at UTC midnight). Text journaling is unlimited, at every tier, forever. The voice cap keeps transcription costs sustainable; text is free for us, so it stays free for you.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your billing period.
How does the printed book work?
Once you have published chapters, you can order a professionally designed hardcover book for $99 (€99). It includes all your published chapters, photos, and a custom dedication page. Additional copies are available at a reduced price.
How does the Gift Bundle work?
The Gift Bundle is a one-time purchase of $149 (€149) that includes 12 months of full Memoira access plus one printed book. It's the perfect gift for a loved one, no recurring subscription required.
Can multiple family members access the account?
Yes! The senior can invite any number of family members. Family members can view published stories, upload photos, suggest interview topics, and receive notifications about new content.
Is my parent's data private and secure?
Absolutely. All stories, photos, and personal data are encrypted and only accessible to authorized family members. We are fully GDPR-compliant, and you can export or delete all data at any time.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
All your data is preserved for 90 days after cancellation. You can export everything as PDF or JSON before canceling.
What happens if my parent passes away?
We have a thoughtful memorial mode that preserves all stories as a read-only legacy. Family members retain full access, and you can generate a complimentary memorial book. Advanced directives let your loved one set their wishes in advance.
Do you support both USD and EUR?
Yes! We offer 1:1 EUR/USD parity, €9.99 = $9.99, €72 = $72. Stripe handles currency automatically.
